The Naked Artist’s Soul – Spiritual Nudity in Art (Series Introduction)

A couple of years ago I wrote a series of posts entitled Naked Before God and it is one of the reasons for this blog’s early success in its first year.  In that series, the initial post outlined the spiritual aspects of nudity that were positive.  I listed at the time: Vulnerability, Openness, Intimacy, Genuineness, Wholeness and Equality.  I endeavored at the time to present each of these positive qualities in the best possible light so as to counter what a lot of others say about the negative aspects nudity.  I am not going to say there are not negative aspects to nudity but in they are to me entirely man-made since the Fall.  What was created by God resulted in the following statement – ‘naked and unashamed’.  Shame from nakedness is the result of man’s actions and not God’s.  It is man and woman who hid themselves and made…
