Jessica Atieno is both a fine and graphic artist having graduated with a degree in Graphic Arts from the Technical University of Kenya. She works in an array of mixed media and installation to explore themes of feminism, modernity and political justice. Jessica has shown in various exhibitions across Kenya as well as within the East Africa Region, most recently her series Full Frontal. She discusses her work here with curator and researcher Moses Serubiri in the context of renewed interest in nudity as protest by contemporary African women activists.
