“Women” is a deeply flawed exhibition of paintings of nude women that falls handily into stereotypes about the female body. To be a male artist, and name an exhibition of your work “Women” in 2018, is to start a debate that you might quickly lose control over. Especially if the exhibition features paintings of a black, a white, and an Asian woman, all of them totally nude, very muscular, and almost entirely lacking pubic hair.
